Most of my friends that first watched our Enduranz television advertisement said the following random comments:

“Tignan mo itong si Giselle. Sobrang raketera, pati pagbubuntis, pinagkaperahan!”

“Bilib gyud ko kay Giselle, ultimo pampa-utog  gipatusan! (Bisaya –  Bilib talaga ako kay Giselle, pati pampa-kant*t, pinatos!)

“Naku, hindi naman totoo ‘yan. Magkano kaya nakuha nila Giselle and Emil dyan sa commercial na ‘yan.”

Sorry disbelievers.  Tongkat Ali is the real deal! And it did make me pregnant.  Nang mabuntis ako sobrang bilib si Emil sa Enduranz na kinalat niya sa lahat ng kaibigan niya ang mga magagandang epekto ng tongkat ali.  Little did Emil know that one of his friends actually knew the distributor of Enduranz here in the Philippines who tapped us to do the testimonial on television.

Last 2005 when my daughter Lia was two years old, we decided it was the perfect time to give her a “kalaro” and the two year gap would be perfect.  In 2007, after two years of trying to have another baby, we knew there was a problem.  The reasons that we were too tired or stressed would be quite impossible because two years is two years!  Hello!  Kung ibang mag-asawa pa yun, naka-dalawa sa silang anak!   So my ob-gyne Dr. Quillamor asked Emil if he will agree to do a sperm count and he did.

It turns out that husband’s sperm motility is very slow. Wala namang problema sa pag-akyat ni Manoy o sa tagal ng tigas ng punongkahoy. Ang problema ay ang mabagal na pagtakbo ng semilya papunta sa aking “egg”.

Sex Education 101: Minsan lang sa isang buwan lumabas ang mother “egg” cell ng babae. Lumalabas ito sa ika-14 na araw.  May expiration ang egg ni mader. Parang ‘yung kikiam sa kalye. After 24 hours, expired na ang mother “egg”.   Kaya ang mga sperm cells ay kinakailangan mabilis mag-swimming para makarating kay mother “egg”.   Parang swimming contest ‘yan ng mga sperm cells. Dami ko kayang kwento sa swimming contest na ito:

Sperm Cell 1: Yes were free! Bilis Swim na para malaman kung sinong mauuna kay mother “egg”!

Sperm Cell 2: Teka parang nawawala tayo. Parang hindi ito ‘yung tunnel na pinagaralan natin?

Sperm Cell 1: Mali nga! Lalamunan ito! Impyerno ang digestive system! Patay tayo sa asido ng tiyan! Waaa!

Sperm Cell 2: Yes were free! Bilis Swim na para malaman kung sinong mauuna kay mother “egg”!

Sperm Cell 1: Balik guys! Condom! Condom!

Sperm Cell One: Sa wakas mother cell nagkita na rin tayo, dalawang araw na akong tumakbo, pagod na pagod na ako. You are mine!

Mother Egg Cell – Wala na! Sirado na ang karinderya kahapon pa! Expired na ako! Try again next month!  Bagal mo kasi!

At ‘yan ang kwentong sperm cell ni Emil na naikwento ko sa isang producer ko.  After two weeks, my producer sent me a package from the Middle East where her husband worked and told me to try it.  We were very apprehensive at first because we were afraid of side effects.  Siempre tao ‘yung lulutuin namin.  Kahit tinola nga, ‘pag may dinagdag kang wala sa rekado nito tulad ng chocolate powder, eh hindi na makakain.  Takot kami noh! Baka ‘pag labas ng baby, walang tenga o labing-lima ang daliri.  TENSE!  So we researched about the product and the active ingredient of the product was tongkat ali.

Pagkatapos ng dalubhasang pag-aaral tungkol sa “safety” ng Tongkat Ali at dahil nga nalaman naming pinabibilis niya ang pagtakbo ng sperm cells papunta sa egg cell ng babae,  sinubukan na namin.  I got pregnant on the end of 2007 but lost my baby in the early part of 2008.   We were both depressed but we didn’t lose hope and we wanted to try again.   The problem was that we finished the supplement that my friend gave me and if we order in the internet, we would have to wait for a month.   It was also very expensive.   So I told Emil to research in the internet if there was a supplement whose active ingredient was tongkat ali and if it was being sold here.   And there it was : ENDURANZ! Alleluia! Our prayers were answered! P20.50 lang at available pa sa leading drugstores dito sa Pinas.   Sobrang mura! Emil started taking it after I got my period.   He took it three times a day on my 12-16th day.

After one month, I was pregnant! After seven months, Emil and I  were endorsing ENDURANZ on television.   After three more months, Xavier Zappa Buencamino was born.  Now Zappa is seven months old. He is very healthy, bubbly and sharp.   I am totally thankful to Enduranz because it did get me pregnant!
